The vassal limit is the number of direct vassals (excluding [[Baron]]s) a ruler can have without penalties. For every vassal above the Vassal Limit, {{red|-5%}} is imposed on vassal taxes and vassal levies, up to {{red|-95%}}.

封臣限界を超えるとすべての封臣からの封臣税と徴募兵に{{red|-5%}}から最大{{red|-95%}}までのペナルティが課せられます。

A character can avoid going over the vassal limit by creating duke vassals and transferring count vassals to them through the ''grant vassal'' interaction. A character's vassal limit can be seen by opening the ''Realm'' menu (key: {{key press|F2}}) towards the bottom-right.
